 A Message to New Members:

Welcome to Frostfeather12! You can refer to me as Sparrow, or any of my other characters. I've been on this website for around 6-7 years now, and I've been the owner of the site for about 5 years. I know the site looks dead, but I promise you that a few members of the site (as well as myself) would love nothing more than to see new, active members joining us! Please don't be discouraged by the lack of activity. Head on over to frostfeather122 to register your RP character and then shoot me an email so I know you're here!

On a side note, the website is heavily under construction. Due to a change in webs' site editor tool, we lost all of our chat boxes for roleplaying and stuff like that. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.

 Battle Techniques

Key

(Each move has a level of difficulty, that is represented with *)
* =Kit
** =Apprentice
*** =Warrior
**** =Deputy
***** =Leader

(Note: Deputy and leader moves may only be preformed by deputies and leaders. The only time these moves can be performed by someone younger is if in a real battle, or if the leader/deputy teaches you themselves)

TEMPLATE:

Move Name

Difficulty: (Skill level)

How to Use it: (Short description of move)

Example: (Roleplay using this attack)

Deputy/Leader Moves

Back Flip, Pin

Difficulty: ****

How to use it: The idea is to Back flip onto your enemy, and hold onto their
hunches with your front claws and with your back claws dig into the ground,
drag them down top the ground then while they're stunned, flip them over and
pin them.

Example: Moonpast back flipped
from long practice onto Greenstar and twisted around, she dug
her back claws into the dirt with her front claws and dragged him down,
then she flipped him and pinned him with one paw raised ready to
scratch

Flip attack

Difficulty: *****

How to use it: The goal of this move is to get behind your opponent while they are standing on their hind paws with their back to you. You then leap at the back of thier neck, pinning them down to the ground and then deliver a killing bite.

Example: Heatherwing sized up her opponent, Iceshadow. She charged at him and at the last moment, she leaped over his body and in mid-air she clawed across the top of his head. Iceshadow the reared up on his hind paws trying to reach her. When Heatherwing landed his back was to her while he was on his hind paws. She then leaped at his back and grabbed the back of his neck for the killing bite.

Note: Only use this move when ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!!! This move is also very tricky because the outcome of your opponent's reaction (such as standing on hind paws with back turned) is the only way it'll work.

Back Flip, Sky Stab

Difficulty: ****

How to use it: The idea is, when you face one another - you and your
opponent, you jump back, like a flip, so you are lying on your back once your
opponent lunges at you. Then once your enemy is on top of you, you kick your back feet in the air at them to toss them high up in the sky. Then once they land, you stab them with your unsheathed claws and elbow joint to poke them in their pelts HARD.

Example: Aurapaw watched her opponent, Blizzardclaw. He lunges at her. She flips back and once he is directly flying onto of her, she kicks him with her back legs and claws and sends him flying into the air straight up. Then he thumps on the floor hard and she jabs him in the neck and her other paw
stabs him in the pelt.

Boxer Push, Low Swipe, Pin

Difficulty: ****

How to use it: When both you and your enemy are facing on another, you wait
until they lunge at you then you balance on your back legs and push them back
to the ground. Then once they get back up and rear go on your belly and swipe
at their back feet, knock them off balance then pin them.

Example: Hawkclaw rears on Oakfoot and knocks him off balance, while he
tries to regain balance, Hawkclaw goes on his belly and hits Oakfoot's back
leg, causing him to fall then, Hawkclaw pins him down.

Warrior Moves

Claw to throat

Difficalty:***(*)

How to use it:When your opponent runs at you, slip under them, and launch yourself into the air, them going with you.Make sure to leap higher than them, then,as they hit the floor, come flying down, pin them, and put a claw to their throat.DO NOT rake it across their throat unless in dire need.

Example: Mistyrose waited until Swimsplash was a foxlength away from her,and then slipped under him.She plummeted upwards, throwing her unsheathed claws into Swimsplashs belly. They both rocketed upwards and fell. Mistyrose made sure she was on top of Swimsplash so, as Swimsplash hit the floor, she came down on top of him, pinning him,a claw to his throat

Belly protection

Difficulty: ***

How to use it: A lot of the time oppontents go for your belly because it is soft and often unguarded making it a prime spot. Also because most cats are taught to aim for the under-parts of an enemy warrior. This move will help you learn to keep your belly unscathed. When a cat knocks you over, try to fall on your side. If you to fall to your back, flip onto your side. Keep your legs bunched up to your belly. If an oppontent gets too close you are to lash out with sharp, unsheathed claws.

Example: Daisysong spat at Stripeheart, who leaped at Daisysong, the impact knocking her onto her side. Daisysong bunched her legs up, and when Stripeheart lunged for her belly she was met by a slashing of many claws. Stripeheart leaped back. She tried to get to the other side of Daisysong, but Daisysong flipped and slashed at Stripeheart every time.

Apprentice Moves

Fake Roll

Difficulty: **(*)

How to use it: Charge at your opponent at full speed, crouch down slowly as if
you are getting ready to dive under your opponent. Your opponent will then see
you diving under and get ready to stand up high above you. At the last second
you jump up and over your opponent, attack him from the air. Land behind him
and lunge. Your opponent should be to shocked to move.

Example: Snowfalling ran at Silverstep will slowly crouching down. Silverstep
rose up but Snowfalling jumpped up and attacked her from the air. Startled,
Silverstap turned around, but Snowfalling was already coming for an attack
from behind.

Tail Trip

Difficulty:**(*)

How to do it: Leap at your opponent, but right when you get close, swerve so that you land beside thier tail. Bite down hard on thier tail, then run with lightning speed around them, tripping them and leaving thier belly exposed. Claws unsheathed.

Example:Lightpaw leped at Dewpaw. All of a sudden she swerved in midair and landed on all four paws. She bit down into Dewpaw's tail and ran around her. Before Dewpaw had time to react, Lightpaw tripped her under her tail and pinned Dewpaw down.

Rope Attack

Difficulty: **(*)

How to do it: Somehow taunt your opponent to charge at you. Act as if you
are mezmorized by their speed or agility and keep wide eyes so they think you
are unprepared. At the last second before they crash into you, spin out of the
way with a high jump using your haunches. Spin while they are offguard and
slide under their belly. Grab their back paws or haunches tightly with your
front paws. This requires much muscle strength. This will then pull them to the
ground and possibly knock them out if they hit their head on the ground.
Named 'Rope' because of rope trap effect.

Example: Sunshineheart mewed "Come on, show me what you've got!" to an
enemy rouge. This urged the rouge and it charged at full speed at her. She
opened her eyes wide and started shaking, but then jumped over the rouge and
spun in the air. She slid under his belly and grabbed his haunches with her paws
and claws dug deep in. He toppled over and hit his head on a rock, knocking
him out.

Jump kick

Difficulty: **(*)

How to do it: If an opponent is charging at you this move comes in
handy. Stand lightly on your paws and wait for the opponent to come
close. Once your opponent is nearly at you, launch yourself high into the air. Try
to land on you opponent's back and give a powerful kick with your hind-legs. It
can be hard at times, and takes alot of power, but it's a good way to surprise
you enemies. Can also be used for if you leap from a tree and ambush you
opponent from atop.

Example: Halfclaw launched herself into the air before the enemy hit her. She
timed it so that she would land square on his shoulders, crushing him to the
ground.

Kit Moves

Hedgehog ball

Difficulty: *

How to use it: When a battle breaks out and your clan has been defeated kits
have to be ready, so curl up as if your going to sleep but keep your claws out
and cover them with your tail. Then when your enemy comes in and scopes you
up, startle them by being a mini hedgehog with your claws out and pull yourself
forward and start biting and scratching.

Example: Sunshinekit rolls onto her attacker startled the attacker starts to back
out, but because Sunshinekit has a grip she unleashes the devil within by biting
and scratching until the attacker disappears under a mass of the whole nursery
of kits.

Object dodge and Attack

Difficulty: *

How to use it:All the time cats throw you at trees. But there is a way to stop getting knocked out. When your opponent throws you think fast.stretch out your legs towards the object, and leap off it,and onto your opponent

Example:Mistyrose yowled as Swimsplash grabbed her scruff and made her fly towards a tree...she stretched out her legs, kicked off,and landed on Swimsplash.

Others:

Back Kick- Explosive surpise moved to catch oppent from behind. Judge opponent's   distance from you carefully; Then lash out with your back legs taking your weight on your front paws.

Belly rake- Slice with unsheathed claws across soft flesh of oppent's belly. If you're pinned dow, the belly rake quickly puts you back in control.

Front paw blow-  Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your oppent's head claws sheathed.

Front paw Strike- Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the body or face of your opponent. Claws unsheathed.

Leap-and-hold- Ideal for a small cat facing a large opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of your opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. It was deployed to great effect against bloodclan's deputy Bone. Watch for the drop and roll counter move and try to jump free before you get squashed.

Partner fighting- Warriors who have trained and fought together will often instinctively fall into a paired defensive position, each protecting the others back while offending back an opponent on either side. Slashing clawing and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.

Play dead-effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes his grip thinking, you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off a unwary opponent And put yourself in an attacking position.

Scruff shake- Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponent's neck; then shake violently till he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats which are small enough to be thrown. A strong throw will stun or kill them.

Teeth Grip- Target your opponents extremities- The legs, tail, scruff or ears-and sink in your teeth and pull. This move is similar  to the leap and hold except your claws remain free to fight.

Upright lock- Final, crushing move on a ready weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring full weight down on opponent. If opponent does same, rustle and flip him under you. This move makes you valuable to the belly rake, so requires great strength and speed.

Remove BloodClan?

We understand that BloodClan has been completely empty for quite some time now, and the Unknown Territories are nearly empty. We are thinking that we do need to delete one (or both) to make room on the site. BloodClan has been with us for a long time now, and it holds many memories, but since things are running so slowly, we think it may be a good idea to delete the BloodClan page. Instead, we are considering making a great big page that would include places that don't belong to the clans, for the unknown territories cat/rogues/loners/kittypets. We might even make an extra chat box for any future BloodClan cats, in case we decide to bring it back. Do you guys think it's a good idea?
